If you’re looking for a gaming desk that fits your setup without spending a fortune, the IKEA Fredde gaming desk is one of the most popular options. But is it really worth it? In this article, we tell you everything you need to know.
The Fredde has been a benchmark for years for gamers looking for a spacious desk, with room for two monitors or one ultrawide, and with details designed for comfort. Its design includes a keyboard tray, a tower support, and even a small upper shelf for speakers or figures.
Main features of the IKEA Fredde gaming desk
The desk measures 140×75 cm, making it ideal for rooms that aren’t too large. Its structure is made of steel and the boards are particleboard with a black or white finish. It includes cable management to keep things tidy and a lower shelf for storing accessories or the PC tower itself.
Is it comfortable for long sessions?
The height is 75 cm, standard for most gaming chairs. However, the keyboard tray may be too small if you use wrist rests or very large keyboards. Even so, the main surface is spacious and allows you to rest your arms without any problem.
Comparison with other gaming desks
Compared to desks specifically from gaming brands, the Fredde stands out for its affordable price and the ease of buying it at IKEA. It doesn’t have RGB lights or aggressive shapes, but its functionality is high. If you’re looking for something more robust, you might want to look at other options, but in terms of value for money, it’s hard to beat.
Where to buy the IKEA Fredde gaming desk?
Although IKEA sells it in its stores and on its website, sometimes you can find interesting deals on Amazon. In fact, if you click the button above, you’ll be able to see updated prices and available catalog. It’s a quick way to compare and make sure you don’t miss any discounts.
Conclusion: is it worth it?
